Manchester United target’s wife revealed as driving force behind his £70 million transfer plans to major European city

Karim Adeyemi appears poised to leave Borussia Dortmund, with his wife serving as a key motivator for the potential transfer. The 23-year-old German winger remains contracted to the Bundesliga club until 2027 but has caught the attention of several elite European sides, notably Manchester United.

Recent reports indicate that Adeyemi’s representatives are negotiating for a release clause valued around £70 million as part of any contract renewal. This mechanism would facilitate his departure from Signal Iduna Park and enable interested clubs to pursue his signature during upcoming transfer windows.

According to German media sources, Loredana, the player’s wife and Swiss rapper, is actively encouraging a move to a prominent European metropolis. The couple married in 2024 after meeting the previous year, and her preference for city life appears to be influencing his career trajectory as contract discussions unfold.

Tensions at Dortmund have intensified Adeyemi’s desire to relocate. His relationship with manager Niko Kovac has deteriorated significantly, marked by a public confrontation in October when Adeyemi hurled a water bottle toward the bench following substitution. Recent matches have demonstrated continued friction between manager and player regarding tactical decisions.

Dortmund traditionally resist including release clauses in player contracts, yet sources suggest an exception may be granted for Adeyemi. The player has recently retained super agent Jorge Mendes, whose strong connections to Manchester United could facilitate the transfer. Mendes previously orchestrated United’s acquisitions of Leny Yoro and Manuel Ugarte.
